Sir,

With reference to Mr. Lucas's letter, No. 9500/1903,
of the 19th ultimo I am directed by the Comptroller and
Auditor General to enclose, for the information of the
Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of a letter
from the Foreign Office, dated 27th ultimo from which
it will be seen that the Secretary of State for Foreign
Affairs concurs in the proposals for training certain of
the junior members of the Colonial Audit Branch of this
Department in Hong Kong.
